Delegation of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held talks on Monday with Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Al-Jaber   in Riyadh.

The meeting, which was described as positive, tackled efforts to implement the remaining parts of the Riyadh Agreement, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to achieve peace, security, stability and development in Yemen, according to Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper.

The STC delegation was headed by Dr. Nasser al-Khubji.

"Means of accelerating the implementation of the remainder of the Riyadh Agreement were discussed, and the requirements for the return of the parity government to the capital, Aden, to perform its duties, leading to the provision of basic services in Aden and the southern governorates, stopping the collapse of the currency, and securing the payment of salaries," said STC spokesman Ali Al Kathiri.

The STC and the Yemeni government signed the Riyadh Agreement on November 5, 2019, under the auspices of Saudi Arabia, after a military conflict between pro-STC forces, and government forces controlled by Islamists in 2019 and 2020.
