Aden International Airport administration in South Yemen denied the accusations against the airport of leaking the passport photo of the UNHCR Envoy and the international star Angelina Jolie.
The administration's statement which was released yesterday stated that a United Nations employee was behind leaking the passport photo of the UNHCR Envoy. The statement confirmed their acquisition to visual evidence of the incidence.
The statement added: "It became clear from the results of the investigations that the person who allowed some people to photograph the passport was an employee of the United Nations office."
The administration demanded the United Nations office in Aden to open an investigation with its relations officer. It said the employee had offended the airport authority.
A leaked photo of Angelina's passport sparked widespread controversy on social media, coinciding with her arrival in Aden on March 6.
Angelina visited camps for the IDPs in Aden and Lahj, South Yemen. She also visited a camp in the Houthi-controlled Sanaa.
Angelina said that she is visiting Yemen to express her support and solidarity with the Yemenis. And she expressed her sadness for what the country has been going through for seven years.
