Two Soldiers Injured in an Exchange of Fire in Aden

Two soldiers were wounded today's morning in an exchange of fire in Khormaksar, Aden, South Yemen, according to "South24" correspondent.

Local sources reported that a dispute over the salary distribution process for one of the security units prompted the incidence, forcing security forces to intervene to control it.

"South24" correspondent in Aden reported that the sounds of machine guns continued for more than an hour from inside the Al-Umal Islan (Workers' Island) in Khormaksar.

Medical sources also indicated that a soldier was seriously injured in the head and was taken to hospital.

The Security Committee in Aden announced the formation of an investigation committee to investigate these events. It stated that it would take "strict measures" against all those responsible.

Activists criticized the continued occurrence of shootings events caused by unqualified security personnel who took advantage of their security positions within the state bodies.

Senior STC officials directed the immediate punishment of those responsible for the incident, according to press sources.
