The Arrival of the Yemeni Government and Parliament Members to Aden

Today, ministers in the Yemeni government and members of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council arrived in Aden coming from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

According to "South24" private sources, a number of ministers, in addition to members of parliament and the Shura Council, arrived in Aden, accompanied by STC officials.

Parliament’s media published pictures showing the arrival of the parliament speaker Sultan Al-Barakani and members of the parliament’s at Aden International Airport.

According to the sources, Southern security forces transferred the Yemeni officials to Al-Maasheq Presidential Palace in Aden, where they will carry out their duties from there.

The recently formed Yemeni Presidency Council is also expected to arrive in Aden on a later date.

This is the first official arrival of parliament members to Aden since the war outbreak in 2015.

The return of parliament members comes a week after former Yemeni President Hadi announced on April 7 the transformation of his authority to an eight-member presidential council.

Reports expected that members of the Presidential Council would take the oath before the Speaker of the Yemeni Parliament in Aden.
