Al-Dhalea: Houthis Violates the Truce with Drones

Continuing to the military violations of the truce in Yemen, the Iranian-backed Houthi group has launched several drone attacks over the past few days against military and civilian positions in Al-Dhalea governorate.
A number of projectiles fired from a Houthi drone on Friday in the village of Al-Mashareeh, north of the province, caused partial damage to citizens' homes in the area, according to a "South24" reporter.
According to the reporter, the Houthis launched a similar drone attack on Thursday, targeting the position of the 4th Resistance Brigade of Southern Forces in Al-Fakher Al-Dhalea.
On Wednesday, projectiles from another drone targeting a position of Southern forces in the "Jab" front also injured one soldier from the 4th Brigade, according to the official information of the Southern forces.
On Monday, Houthi drones also targeted the police station in Al-Fakher city, as well as other attacks on Southern forces' military positions in the area of "Osman hills" on Sunday.
In this regard, the official spokesman of the Al-Dhalea Front, Fouad Jubbari, told "Soth24": "The Houthis continue to violate the truce as usual. They target both military sites and civilian gatherings.
Jubbari added: "Most of these violations involve the Houthis using drones and sniping operations. These violations are nothing new as they have occurred since the truce entered into force months ago. "
Jabari also accused the Houthis of deliberately targeting homes and civilian objects in areas near the fronts.
The Houthis have not yet commented on these accusations. The group's media outlet accused joint forces on the west coast of the country of carrying out violations over the past few days with machine guns and heavy weapons.
The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, announced the extension of the humanitarian truce in the country for an additional two months until October 2.
The Swedish diplomat, briefing the Security Council in mid-August, said the truce remained militarily resilient despite reports of violations on fronts.
