During the last 24 hours, the Iran-backed Yemeni Houthi militia announced they had carried out three attacks on targets in Israel with a ballistic missile and two drones.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said on Monday evening: "We carried out two military operations with two ’Yaffa‘ drones that targeted two military targets of the Israeli enemy in the areas of Yaffa (Tel Aviv) and Ashkelon".

The spokesman claimed that the two operations "successfully achieved their goals."

The Houthis announced that they had carried out a third attack using a hypersonic ’Palestine 2‘ missile against a "military target in Jaffa” (Tel Aviv). They claimed that this operation was also successful.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Israeli army announced that the air force had intercepted a missile coming from Yemen before it entered Israeli airspace.

It noted that sirens sounded in several areas in central Israel following the missile launch.

The Israeli ambulance service said that more than 25 people were injured in a stampede as they headed to shelters following the missile launch from Yemen, and that some of them were in a state of panic.

The Israeli army also said on Monday that it had managed to intercept a drone launched from Yemen that was on its way into Israel.

Yesterday, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz acknowledged for the first time that Israel was behind the assassination of Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh in July, and threatened the Houthi leaders with the same fate.

He said: "We will do in Hodeidah and Sanaa what we did in Tehran, Gaza and Lebanon."

Katz threatened the Houthis with destroying their infrastructure and "cutting off the heads" of their leaders. He also spoke about Israel's role in toppling the Assad regime in Damascus.

In a statement on X today, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar said: "Yesterday, I instructed Israeli diplomatic missions in Europe to work to strengthen the announcements designating the Houthis as a terrorist organization."

"Today, I addressed the President of the United Nations Security Council to hold an emergency session to condemn the Houthi attacks and Iran's continued support for them," he added.
