Other sources told "South24" that "Major General Shallal Sha'i might be appointed to a new position in the new government", but she did not disclose the type of mission.
These developments come after two days of a prisoner exchange deal between the Southern Transitional Council and the Yemeni government in Abyan, on the initiative of the STC, about 200 detainees on both sides were released.
These developments reflect the positive steps that may push to end the fighting between the government and the Council, amid fears that other parties in the Yemeni government, close to Qatar, will continue to obstruct this agreement.
