The Houthi group launched a missile attack, at dawn on Sunday, targeting a military parade celebrating the anniversary of the 26th September Revolution, in Hajjah and Marib governorates, killing and wounding nearly 20 people, including civilians.

According to the Yemeni government, 5 people were killed and 17 others wounded, including civilians, in a missile attack targeting a celebration organized by the army in the Midi district in Hajjah governorate.

In Marib, local sources said that three Houthi missiles fell on separate areas of the city, two of which exploded in the residential area of "Kara" in Marib governorate, coinciding with the ceremony of lighting the "59th anniversary of the September 26 Revolution" torch in North Yemen.

Prominent government figures, including the governor of Marib, Sultan Al-Arada, and the chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Saghir bin Aziz, participated in the torch-lighting ceremony.

According to the local media, the bombing of Marib also
caused deaths and injuries, while official sources did not confirm this.

Local media published pictures that it said were caused by explosions at a government ammunition depot in Marib, following the bombing. The Yemeni government confirmed that the missiles landed in civilian residential areas.

A few days ago, the Houthis celebrated the 7th anniversary of their occupation to Sanaa, or what the group calls the "September 21 Revolution." The group considers this “revolution” a correction of the course of the September 26 revolution, which was launched against the Imami religious rule in North Yemen in 1962.
