Earlier today, an explosive drone targeted an oil port in Shabwa governorate, South Yemen.

According to South24 correspondent, a drone believed to be for the Houthis exploded near the Qina oil port.

According to the correspondent, the attack coincided with the presence of a foreign oil cargo ship, carrying foreign workers.

A security official in the governorate told "South24 Center" that the drone explosion did not cause any damages.

The explosion caused a chaos on the oil ship, leaving some minor injuries among the workers, according to the correspondent.

The port is located in the district of Radum, and it is one of three ports in the district, along with the port of Al-Nashima and the port of Balhaf.

The port receives oil ships on a limited basis after its opening in early 2021.

In a statement by the military spokesman, the Houthis claimed today their responsibility for the attack on the port of Qina, and stated that it came after several warning messages.

This attack is the third of its kind against the oil ports of Shabwa, after two similar attacks against Al-Nashima port on October 18 and 19.

The Houthis attacked the Dabba oil port in Hadramout on the 21st of the same month, after the attack on the Al-Nashima port, according to the Yemeni government.
