Yesterday, the US Special Envoy to Yemen, Timothy Lenderking met with the STC President Aidrous Al-Zubaidi and his accompanying delegation in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
"Now is the time for all groups to make progress on the Riyadh Agreement and face the common threats of Houthi provocations, the economic crisis, and insecurity," Lenderking stressed.
Aidrous Al-Zubaidi, who is visiting Riyadh at an official invitation by the Kingdom's leadership, stressed the need to "take urgent steps to address the economic situation and restructure the government system."
Al-Zubaidi stressed that the STC supports stopping the war and pushing for a comprehensive peace process that "accommodates the actors on the ground."
Al-Zubaidi considered that "the battle that the Southern forces are waging against terrorism" comes "on behalf of all the free people of the world."
Recent weeks have witnessed a wide international movement led by the UN Envoys, Hans Grundberg and the US Envoy Lenderking to try to resolve the Yemeni crisis.
