Houthis Declare Holding Talks with Saudi Arabia

Today, the Houthis announced ongoing talks with the Saudi-led Coalition to stop the ongoing war.
Houthi-affiliate Al-Masirah TV said that the Supreme Political Council was briefed on the existing talks with the Coalition related to lifting the blockade.
The Houthi political council threatened to return to war again. The statement said: "We warn that the state of no war and no peace will not continue."
The Houthi statement spoke of "Zionist-American ambitions" in Yemeni islands and waterways and the military deterrence plan for them.
"The Political Council stresses the separation of the humanitarian file from the political and military. Progress in this file is an indicator of the success of any talks," the statement added.
In mid-November, Gulf sources revealed to "South24 Center" a Saudi offer in return for extending the truce, which was rejected by the Houthis.

According to the sources, Riyadh offered the group, via the Sultanate of Oman, to guarantee the payment of the salaries of all Yemeni employees in return for extending the truce.
The offer included paying government and Houthis salaries in an amount of more than $150 million per month, which the Houthis refused.
The Iran-backed Houthis adopted "maximalist" demands that caused the failure to reach an agreement on extending or expanding the truce last October 2.
Despite this, the truce elements in favor of the Houthis such as the flow of fuel to the port of Hodeidah and flights to Sanaa airport are still valid until now.
On the contrary, the Houthis launched 4 attacks during October and November against the oil ports in South Yemen.
