A New Video Release By AQAP Targeting the Southern Forces and the UAE

Earlier today, Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) released a new video targeting the Southern forces and the UAE on "Al-Malahem" media platform.
The video attacked the military formations of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), and repeatedly spoke about an Israeli presence on the island of Socotra.
The organization released clips of US ambassador Steven Fagin's visits to Hadramout governorate, repeating what it presented in previous releases.
The video included a lengthy speech by an unidentified person called "Abu Abdullah Al-Awlaki", who specifically attacked the Southern military formations.
The release mentioned the Southern Giants Brigades, the Storm Forces, the Security Belt, the Shabwa Defense Forces, the Hadrami Elite Forces, and other formations.
The release relied on many clips of Al-Jazeera and local Yemeni channels, such as Balqees and Al-Mahria, which are owned by Northern personalities.
The release spoke of violations committed by the Southern forces in the governorates of Abyan and Shabwa, after the unprecedented defeats suffered by AQAP there late last year.
During the past weeks, AQAP used drone technology for the first time against the Southern forces in Shabwa governorate.
AQAP launched attacks against the Shabwa Defense Forces in mid-May, and has carried out dozens of attacks with mines and explosive devices since the beginning of this year in Abyan governorate.
