The Southern security forces announced earlier today that they had arrested a man suspected of being affiliated with ISIS, in the Al-Buraiqa district, east of the capital, Aden.
The Southern forces issued a statement reporting that the man the Security Belt Forces arrested has the initials S.A.A., and is accused of having connections to ISIS and participating in terrorist operations.
"Intelligence information had monitored the accused's return to the capital, Aden, after he fled there several years ago," the statement added.
The statement indicated that the suspect had been transferred to the relevant legal authorities to complete their investigation and administer justice.
Earlier this year, on May 26th, the Southern forces arrested an ISIS terrorist cell, consisting of seven members, in the Yafa district of Lahj Governorate.

The Southern forces said at the time that the cell had attempted to cross the Houthi-controlled Al-Bayda Governorate into Yafa, to carry out a terrorist plot in Abyan Governorate.
The STC-affiliated Southern forces accuses the Houthi militia of supporting ISIS and AQAP in their efforts to conduct terrorist operations in South.
Yesterday, AQAP said that it had wounded Southern soldiers as they were attempting to dismantle an explosive device in Mudiya in Abyan Governorate last Thursday.
